Privacy Policy
Short version: there are no accounts, we don't collect personal details, and what little is measured is anonymous. Here's the full picture.
Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how ToolGameDesign ("we," "us," the "site"), found at toolgamedesign.com, handles information when you visit. The site is a personal project offering free, single-purpose browser tools and games. You can reach us at admin@toolgamedesign.com.
The short of it
- We do not require accounts, sign-ups, or logins.
- We do not ask for or store your name, email, or other personal details (except in any email you choose to send us).
- We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used.
- We show ads through Google AdSense, which — like most ad networks — uses cookies.
- Some tools save your entries in your own browser; that data stays on your device and never reaches us.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see anonymous, aggregate information such as which tools are visited, roughly where in the world traffic comes from, and what kind of device is used. We have enabled IP anonymization, so your full IP address is not stored by us. This helps us decide what to build and improve. Google processes this data on our behalf; see Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising & cookies
This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
- Depending on your location, you may be shown a consent prompt governing how ad cookies are used; your choice there controls personalized advertising on this site.
Data stored on your device
A few tools — for example, the Decision Museum — let you save entries so they're still there when you return. This information is kept in your browser's local storage, on your own device. It is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser's site data will permanently delete it.
Cookies and how to control them
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. On this site they come from Google Analytics and Google AdSense, as described above. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and block them entirely — though some features or ads may not work as intended if you do.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
Your information and your rights
Because we don't collect personal information through the site, there's typically nothing personal of yours for us to hold, correct, or delete. If you've emailed us, you may ask us to delete that correspondence at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; to exercise any of them, just email us.
Third-party links
Some pages link to other websites. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be reflected here on this page.
